Finding Relief Without Risk

Natural Pain and Itch Support for Patients with Alagille Syndrome

For families living with Alagille Syndrome (ALGS) or chronic liver disease, everyday symptoms like intense itching (pruritus) or abdominal pain can be more than uncomfortable—they can be debilitating. Yet for many, conventional medications that could ease this pain are off the table due to liver toxicity risks.

I understand this challenge firsthand. My granddaughter lives with ALGS, and her journey—like many others—has involved hospital stays, diagnostic uncertainty, and significant discomfort. Watching her struggle with symptoms that typical pain relievers couldn’t safely treat was heartbreaking. That’s when I turned to a tool from my background in biofeedback and functional health: frequency-based therapy.

What Is Frequency-Based Biofeedback?

Biofeedback uses real-time data (such as skin conductance, heart rate, or electromagnetic signals) to help the body self-regulate. But in allopathic frequency medicine, we go one step further—using targeted frequencies to help ease discomfort, reduce inflammation, and restore energetic balance, all without burdening the liver.

Think of it as “energetic information” your body can respond to—delivered gently through sound, vibration, light, or subtle electric fields. For patients with ALGS who can’t metabolize traditional medications well, this can be an empowering and non-invasive option.

How It’s Helped in Our Family

When my granddaughter began experiencing unrelenting itching and gastric pain, standard treatments had limited effect—and she couldn’t take stronger options due to her liver vulnerability. With physician oversight, I introduced a series of biofeedback-based sessions using safe, frequency-targeted protocols.

The results? Improved comfort. Less distress. Better sleep. And—most importantly—relief without risk.

Who Can Benefit?

If you or your child are navigating:

  • Chronic itching from bile acid buildup

  • Digestive discomfort

  • Sensory dysregulation or nervous system stress

  • Or are unable to tolerate conventional medications due to liver dysfunction…

… then frequency-based therapies may be worth exploring.

Coming Soon: Alagille Syndrome – Beyond the Code

I’m currently writing a book that brings together science, personal experience, and innovative care strategies for ALGS families. In Alagille Syndrome – Beyond the Code, you’ll find:

  • Guidance on interpreting genetic data and treatment options

  • New thinking on inhaled medications and non-oral delivery

  • Detailed insights into nutritional and biofeedback strategies

  • Real stories of families navigating rare disease with courage and creativity

It’s time for more holistic, informed, and hopeful approaches to ALGS—and I can’t wait to share this journey with you.
